15 minutes. Genuinely useful.

You already know something needs to change.

You just keep waiting for the right moment to deal with it.If any of this sounds familiar, this is for you:

  • You check your phone before you've even sat up in bed. Not because you want to. Because your nervous system doesn't know how to not.

  • You run back-to-back meetings, hold your team together, come home and do it all again - and somewhere between the school run and the 8pm emails, you stopped being able to remember what you actually enjoy.

  • You had a moment recently, probably in the car or the shower, where you couldn't think of a single thing you were looking forward to. You told yourself you were just tired. But it's been a while since tired covered it.

  • You are good at your job. People rely on you. You get promoted. And you feel hollow about it in a way you cannot say out loud, because who complains about succeeding?

  • You have been saying after this project for years. The space never comes. You are starting to wonder if it is ever going to.

You are not falling apart. You are functioning perfectly. But your nervous system is running a code red underneath all of it, and you can feel it even when no one else can see it.That is not a character flaw. It is a pattern. And it can change.

Why other approaches haven't worked

The problem isn't that you have not tried hard enough. The problem is that most approaches start in the wrong place.

Therapy helped you understand why you are the way you are. But it didn't help you change how you are showing up on a Tuesday morning when the pressure is on.The books gave you frameworks.
The frameworks felt useful for about ten days and then the old patterns came back because nothing had changed at the level they live at.
The previous coach gave you goals and actions. You hit some of them. You felt good briefly. Then the next quarter arrived and you were back in the same loop. The productivity systems added more to an already overloaded plate and made the problem worse by making you feel like the problem was your time management rather than your nervous system.None of those things were wrong. They were just working on the surface. Root and Rise starts underneath. Before the strategies. Before the action plans. Before the productivity hacks. We go to the root - the stories you are living inside, the identity-level patterns that have been running the show for years, the gap between who you are performing and who you actually are.We do that work first.Everything built on top of it holds.

The Root & Rise framework

Three things that make this different:We start with the nervous system, not the to-do list.
Most approaches treat depletion as a scheduling problem. Root and Rise treats it as a physiological and psychological one. Your body has been keeping score. We work with what is actually happening - not what you can manage around it.
The methodology is psychology-informed, not borrowed from a certification weekend.
I'm studying an MSc in Psychology and have over a decade of senior corporate experience. I can go to places a standard coach cannot. The gap between knowing and doing - the one therapy and books have not been able to close - is precisely where this work operates.
I'm in the room/ zoom with you.
I'm not a former corporate leader speaking from the other side. I'm a current senior corporate leader, walking in the same environment as you, right now. I know what a board meeting feels like. I know what it costs. That changes the conversation.

About Aimee

I spent over a decade in corporate before I started doing this work. I didn't leave. I am still there - in a senior leadership role, managing a large team, navigating the same environment my clients are navigating. That is not incidental to what I do. It is the whole point of it.I have been burnt out twice. Both times, I performed perfectly on the outside. Both times, I was disappearing on the inside. I told myself one more promotion, one more pay rise, one more month and then I could rest. I used wine to cope. I kept going. The real turning point came after I was fired from a toxic workplace. It destroyed my confidence. I had gained weight, lost myself, and felt like a complete failure as a mother and a wife. Underneath a life that looked fine from the outside, I was depressed, absent, and completely disconnected from who I was. What changed was radical ownership. Taking back control of my health - the physical work, the psychological work, the honest reckoning with how I had let things get that far. Putting the same energy into my own wellbeing that I had spent a decade giving to my career.I am not telling you that from the other side of something I survived years ago. I am telling you because I am still doing the work, still in the environment, and still helping other women navigate what I know from the inside. But the reason I do this is simpler than any of that. I know what it costs to keep going the way my clients are going when they first come to me. And I know it does not have to cost that much.

What clients say

"I got the promotion."
She had been working towards it for 2 years and couldn't get it across the line. After the coaching work, the Management Board signed it off. She described having external support and encouragement as making a real difference to the outcome.

"One of the best coaches I have ever worked with."
A group programme client who described the experience as a straight-talking, safe, energy-inducing hour of her week. Said I stretched her thinking, held space, and built something that felt genuinely different from anything she had experienced before.

On the breakthrough:
"When I first got in touch with Aimee, I knew I was burnt out. What Aimee helped me realise was that I was burnt-out because I had spent so long working with values I wasn't aligned with - this peeled my eyes open to take note of all the values I do feel aligned with to forge the best path upward for me."

On the experience:
"Aimee is a great listener and really created a safe space for me to think out loud."
"Feeling understood was invaluable and gave me the confidence that I do have experiences that could be packaged and benefit others in the future."

On recommending coaching:
"She's employed so she understands the strategies of the corporate world, she runs her own business so she understands the sense of risk that comes with it, she's a masters' student and a mother. She believes in science as much as the spiritual - she's fully exploring what it is to be human with purpose. Whatever situation you're in, I'm sure Aimee can relate and empathise."

On continued confidence:
"I do feel confident, not just from the coaching, but also from how much Aimee is sharing on social media. What we discuss, she really is practising and that is greatly motivating."

On the one thing she'd change:
"Talking to Aimee was so easy, I don't think I have spoken that much continuously on my own values and experiences in years."

Root and Rise is a deep-dive coaching relationship that requires genuine commitment on both sides. Because of the nature of the work, I do not offer refunds once sessions have begun.
What I do offer is this: a Pathfinder Call before any money changes hands, so you can make sure this is the right fit before you commit. That call is free, honest, and genuinely useful. If it is not the right time or the right fit, I will tell you.
If you show up, do the work, and stay committed to the process, something will shift. That is not a promise I make lightly.

FAQs

I've tried coaching before and it didn't really stick. Why would this be different?
Most coaching works on goals and actions - what you do, rather than who is doing it. Root and Rise starts with the identity-level patterns underneath the behaviour. If the last approach felt useful in the room and then disappeared in real life, it is likely because the root was not touched. That is where we start.
I don't have time for another thing.
I hear this a lot. Six sessions over six months is not a significant time commitment in itself. The question worth sitting with is what the cost of not dealing with this is - in energy, in presence, in health, in the slow erosion of the life you actually want. We can talk about it on the Pathfinder Call.
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching and therapy are different disciplines. Root & Rise draws on psychological frameworks and nervous system science, but it is forward-focused. We are not excavating the past for its own sake. We are understanding the patterns well enough to change them.
I'm not sure my situation is bad enough to warrant this.
If you are reading this page and it is landing, your situation is significant enough. You do not need to be in crisis to deserve support. High-functioning depletion is real. The fact that you are performing well does not mean everything is fine.
What does the Pathfinder Call actually involve?
15 minutes. We get clear on where you are, what is keeping you stuck, and whether Root and Rise is the right fit for you right now. I will be honest with you either way. No scripts, no pitch, no pressure.
What if I start and it's not working?
The work requires honesty and commitment from you, and responsiveness and rigour from me. If at any point something is not landing, we adjust. The WhatsApp support means you are never waiting for the next session to flag something. This is a real working relationship, not a monthly appointment.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Payment plan details are shared on the Pathfinder Call.

You have been capable for a long time. You are good at the performance of everything being fine.

But somewhere underneath all of it, there is a version of you that is not performing at all - that is just present, and grounded, and actually here for her own life.
That is not out of reach. It is just work. And it is the best kind.
